Michael revealed on Tuesday night's episode he has been in a long-term relationship for the past 35 years, reports the Mirror. However, he also noted this relationship has not stopped him from maintaining several "deep friendships" at the same time.
At the beginning of last night's show, the 74-year-old subtly referenced his long-standing connection with former West Midlands Mayor, Andy Street. The pair is said to have originally met at an Oxford University reunion.

While Michael didn't mention Andy by name, he alluded to an open arrangement between them as he went on to explain he often goes on separate holidays with different friends.
He said: "I've never been in the closet", and when asked by housemate JoJo Siwa if he was currently in a relationship, he replied: "It's complicated."
Michael added: "I have someone who I have known for 35 years who's 13 years younger than me. But I also have, and this is even more complicated, two friends and we all go on holiday separately with me or not.”
Danny then directly asked: "Would you call that an open relationship? Because I actually think a lot of gay people like that and a lot of straight people don't understand it." Michael nodded, before clarifying: "I would maybe say I've got very deep friendships. That would maybe be more tactful."

Many viewers were surprised by this revelation, which sent social media into a tizz. One viewer reacted to the news, writing: "Michael Fabricant has THREE boyfriends. And I can't even get one." While another echoed: "Not Michael Fabricant being in a polyamorous relationship... and with THAT hair....what is going on."
Someone else added: "Shaking at Michael Fabricant and Andy Street’s open relationship. Never saw that coming and I mean NEVER." While another Celebrity Big Brother fan shared: “Just had to explain to my very traditional, vanilla Dad in layman's terms what Michael was talking about regarding his ‘friendships’ and honestly I think I've taken about five years off his life."

The former MP represented Lichfield from 1992 until 2024, when he lost his seat in the general election. During his career he served under Boris Johnson, who he marked as a "visionary". He also added he believed Johnson would be "hard to replace" when he stepped down as Conservative leader.
Michael was even knighted in Boris Johnson's resignation honour's list and received the title in December 2023. However, he wasn't as warmly regarded as he entered the Big Brother house, with his entrance reception being described as the "loudest arrival boos ever".
